Backlighting is perfect for newborn photography and many other portrait sessions when you want something simple but very effective. This type of lighting creates an ethereal and soft light that flatters newborns' delicate features and highlights other subjects being photographed. 

 

At Piccy-Pic Photography in Crowborough I always try to add backlit poses during the full newborn baby photo sessions, stripping back any props, accessories and colour giving you beautiful natural images to add to your gallery. If your budget doesn't stretch to a full newborn baby photo session but you would like some professional photos of your new little one then this type of session is perfect.

 

The backlit photo session is a shorter session 30 mins to 1 hour depending on the subject(s) to be photographed.

 

I can fully appreciate the cost of living right now with the economy so uncertain, therefore I am now offering this backlit photo  session at a lower cost that all budgets can enjoy, giving you the benefit of having beautiful professional images to treasure forever. The images will be able to be printed in large scale should you wish and make a stunning addition to your home decor.

This session adapts itself to classic black and white images and colour.

​

 

 

Backlit Newborn

For newborns, the session ideally needs to take place within the first 2 weeks of birth while little one is still sleepy and curly. 

The session should be booked in around the time of your 20 week scan to avoid me having no availability when baby is born,

siblings and parents can join in with this session. 

The backlit session is done on white only with white wrapping or naked baby only.

It does not include creative newborn posing, coloured backdrops, outfits or props.

Backlit Maternity

This would normally be done at around 7.5-8 months of pregnancy and can include partner and your other children.
